Top 20 Equity Options Traded

in April 2023

Looking for April showers to bring May profits as the market trended higher by month end.  Financial markets continue to digest news and sentiment related to inflation, interest rates and uncertainty in the regional banking sector after the failure of Silicon Valley Bank in March. First Republic Bank continued on center stage while fears of their failure were ultimately assuaged with an FDIC-facilitated takeover by JP Morgan was announced prior to the market open on May 1. By the end of the month, recession fears subsided and markets manifested a rebound.  The Dow saw the biggest improvement, up 2.5% in April.  The S&P was up 1.5% by month end and the Nasdaq ended essentially flat.

With banking in play during April, First Republic Bank, JP Morgan and Bank of America all remain in the Top 20 list.  We see the usual suspects again in the top 20 with TSLA, AMD, AAPL, META, AMZN, NVDA, MSFT as your favorite trades as techs rally.
